Ex-Niger Delta militant ‘generals’ and leaders have demanded an end to the acts of terror in the North.
They also urged the Federal Government to stop treating the group with kid gloves.
This was contained in a communiqué signed by over 30 ex-militant leaders after an emergency meeting in Abuja on Wednesday.
In the communiqué obtained by our correspondent on Thursday, the ex-militants recalled that the FG brought its entire might on Niger Delta communities in the fight against militancy, wondering why the same had not been applied to Boko Haram insurgency in the North.
It read in part, “Enough is enough! The government must unmask and go after the sponsors of Boko Haram, who we believe are wicked and evil-minded Nigerians collaborating with foreigners.
“Boko Haram must forthwith stop its senseless and mindless killings and suicide bombings in the North.
“The predilection for and selective attacks on churches and christians can no longer be tolerated by well-meaning Nigerians..~Punch
