Secretary, Board of Trustees, BoT, of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Senator Walid Jibrin, said the party was capable of handling its internal problems, and, as such, the opposition should not cash in on the statement made by the National Security Adviser, NSA, General Andrew Azazi (rtd.) at the South -South Summit, to create confusion and panic in the country.
“We are aware of the NSA’s role professionally and politically with his handicap and the implication of his political statement. But we urge all Nigerians, especially our party members to remain calm and steadfast as the party is handling the matter appropriately.
“PDP does not try its members without giving them fair hearing, in accordance with the principle of natural justice before taking any appropriate action. The leadership style of President Goodluck Jonathan and PDP governors is focused towards solving the problem of insecurity in the country…~Sun
